Prednisone is available as tablets, syrup and solution. For an effective
treatment from Prednisone drug - you need to be very precise and
alert on the dosage direction. Strictly follow the directions for
using this medicine provided by your doctor. If you suffer with
upset stomach due to the medication - take Prednisone with milk.
Make proper enquiry on Prednisone with your doctor if you do not

Prednisone is an oral medication that should be consumed with food
or little snacks. Having the drug with empty stomach may make you
feel dizzy.
Drug Overdose
If one consumes more than the prescribed
dosage of Prednisone - chances

overdose condition may occur but it is always dangerous to consume
drugs more than the prescribed limit.
If you find your ward in a dizzy or unconscious state - it can be

control center and ask for instant help. If you are not able to contact
the local poison control center - immediately seek the help of an
emergency room and ask for doctor and ambulance.
Till the time help arrives - ventilate the room properly and let
fresh air pass through the room. Fresh oxygen will help the victim
to breathe comfortably. Chances of recovery are better this way.
And if you know any de-poisoning therapy, try implementing it on
the patient.
Never show any laxity in drug overdose situation.
Missed Dose
If you accidentally miss a dose of Prednisone - take it as soon
as possible. Usually one dosage of the drug is prescribed in a single
day. So if you miss the dosage of morning - try to have it at the
earliest. However if you do not remember until the next day simply
skip the missed dose and go back to your regular dosing schedule.
Never try to take two doses at once instance to compensate. This
could turn out to be fatal.
